The cache memory is rated at 6 MB of Intel Smart Cache and it is equipped also with integrated Intel UHD Graphics. With the TDP of 15 Watts, then this CPU can be used in thin and light laptops.

The system memory is rated 8 GB of DDR4-2666 SDRAM. It is enough for the smoother performance of day to day tasks without any hassle at all.
As for storage option, HP crams a 256 GB PCIe NVMe M.2 Solid-state Drive for faster and smoother performance. In our opinion, this capacity is quite low and unfortunately not able to upgrade it. Therefore, you need to consider buying an external HDD or an SD Card. The flash drive and cloud storage can be the options as well.

The engine above ensures the HP 15 will easily keep up with your demands on a day to day use. Tasks such as works with MS Office, browse multi-tab on the internet, watching online streaming, will easily handle. While for graphics work, you can only do basic photo and video editing. With the only integrated graphics card, then you can play a few indie games only. Don't expect much for playing AAA games since it is definitely not enough power for that. Yes, this is an everyday laptop, not a gaming one.
Display
This HP laptop features a 15.6-inch Full HD display with WLED-backlit. The resolution is 1920 x 1080 pixels with an aspect ratio of 16:9. This anti-glare screen has also 45% NTSC, 220 nits, SVA tech.
This panel isn’t quite bright and might experience some difficulties to view the screen when under direct sunlight. And it is not suited for editors, designers, and creative professionals since the low color accuracy. However, it still good for watching Netflix and Youtube.
This screen has thin bezels on both sides, make it has an 82% screen to body ratio. That's why it seems so wide.

Ports, Networking and Others
Jump to the I/O options. The port selection is standard and adequate for work. It has USB Type-C, not a Thunderbolt 3. Sadly, it doesn't support for laptop charging or external monitor, but only data transfer, with a signaling rate of 5 Gb/s. So does USB Type-A that is for data transfer only. This is the I/O options list:

The keyboard comes with chiclet-size buttons and a numeric pad. It has decent key travel and satisfying tactile feedback. But unhappily, it has not LED backlight.
The trackpad is enough wide, smooth, and support multi-touch gestures.
The stereo speakers are located at top of keyboard, so the sound is clear and loud but we feel it is a bit less on bass.
And the web camera on the top of the display is an HP TrueVision HD Camera. It is integrated with a dual array digital microphone.
Battery and Portability
To support strong performance, HP packs a 3-cell, 41 Wh Lithium-ion battery pack into HP 15. This source power offers a long-lasting up to 10 hours for mixed usage. And for video playback or wireless streaming, it can last up to 8 hours and a half. Of course, it depends on the setting of laptop as well. The brighter the screen, then the battery will drain faster. Power charging is fast enough, up to 50% charge in 45 minutes HP Fast Charge.

Speaking the portability, this laptop is a thin an light one. With a size of 14.11 x 9.53 x 0.71 inches, it seems easily slip into your bag or backpack and doesn't need much space. And it won't burden you since it weighs just 3.75 pounds. You won't feel heavy because of that.
