HP Laptop - 17-BY3613DX is a large-size everyday laptop and more suitable to be a desktop replacement laptop. It features the Intel Core i5 and a 17-inch display. Also equipped with decent memory and storage makes it ready to handle day to day tasks.
When I wrote this, the price is at $595.00, quite affordable. The HP 17-BY3613DX comes with a 10th Gen Intel Core i5-1035G1. This quad-core processor with eight threads is an upper-mid-range one that has a range of frequencies between 1.00 GHz up to 3.60 GHz when in turbo mode. Its cache memory is rated at 6 MB and also has an integrated Intel UHD Graphics G1. And it is an energy-efficient processor since its TDP is only 15W.
And to provide optimum performance, the i5-1035G1 is paired with an 8 GB DDR4-2666 MHz SDRAM that provides high-bandwidth to smoothly run multiple applications and browser tabs all at once and a 256 GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD for fast bootup and data transfer.
With the combination above, this HP laptop surely can smoothly handle common daily computing tasks like surfing on the internet, works with MS Office apps, video playback, basic photo editing, and similar else. It is able as well to tackle more demanding like video editing though slightly slower.
About gaming, since the integrated GPU is basic graphics solutions so this everyday laptop is more suitable for light games only. Some more demanding games are possible too but on the low graphics settings.

This large laptop has a diagonal wide 17.3-inch display. It is an HD+ level display with a resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:9. And with WLED-backlit, this panel provides a bright view.
As a laptop for everyday productivity, this screen is good enough. Indeed it is not as good as a Full HD one but still can provide quite clear images. Watching videos is still fun.

The ports selection on this 17-inch laptop is plenty and complete enough. Unfortunately, it has no USB Type-C port. However, it has something which is rarely encountered in today's laptop, an optical drive. Well, all the available interface options are:

The keyboard on this laptop is a full-size island-style one and comes with numeric-pad. The key's size and travel distance are decent. Sadly, it doesn't have any backlight that will become an issue when works in a dim environment.
The touchpad is quite wide with the two click buttons at the bottom side. The surface is smooth and supports multi-touch gestures for navigation.
The laptop with large screen, HP 17-BY3613DX, utilizes a 3-cell 41 Wh Lithium-ion battery as the power source and it can last up to 7-9 hours. This will depend on how you set and use this laptop. Of course, video playback or wireless streaming will drain the battery faster than if you were only using it to work with Word or Excel.

And the last one is about portability. Even though it is able to carry everywhere, I choose to use it as a work station. Yes, this laptop is more like a desktop replacement. It is large at 16.3 x 10.7 x 1 inches and is quite heavy at 5.4 lbs. I think it will take up quite a space in my bag and heavy as well.
HP has well-prepared this everyday productivity laptop, HP Laptop - 17-BY3613DX. This widescreen laptop features a powerful engine, large bright display, various useful ports, and long-life battery. It can easily handle daily tasks, so does basic video editing though a bit slower.
Because of its large size, then the notebook is more suitable to be a desktop replacement laptop or workstation. It isn't suggested to mobile people such as college students or traveling professionals since it is quite large and heavy enough.
