The port selection is not many but useful to support daily activities.
Starting on the left side, you will find two USB 3.0 ports, a single USB 2.0 port, and an HDMI 1.4 port, while on the other side sits an SD card slot and a headphone/mic jack. It doesn't have USB Type-C port and RJ-45 LAN port, so the network connection only uses the wireless option, ie Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 4.1.
This IdeaPad 3 comes with a comfortable keyboard, just like another of Lenovo's laptops. The island-style keys have chiclet-size with 1.4mm key travel. It has no backlight, which is reasonable considering this is a budget laptop. And the touchpad below it is pretty responsive.
