The dual display panels on this ROG gaming laptop are impressive. The first is an anti-glare 15.6-inch display. This is a 4K Ultra HD screen panel that features a 3840 x 2160 pixels resolution, 60 Hz refresh rate, 400 nits brightness, 100% AdobeRGB color gamut, IPS and, NVIDIA G-SYNC. It is a PANTONE Validated display as well.
While the second display is ScreenPad Plus that is above the keyboard. This is a 4K Ultra HD touchscreen with a diagonal size of 14-inch. This non-glare screen has a resolution of 3840 x 1100 pixels and is equipped with IPS tech. It supports active pens.

This high performance gaming laptop has a chiclet keyboard with RGB backlighting that can be set to the user's preferences, thanks to preinstalled Asus Aura software. It is flat with smooth keys and a short travel distance.
Due to the lack of palm rests, it is difficult to type comfortably. To alleviate this problem, Asus includes a rubber arm-rest that can be placed in front of the laptop, but it needs a spacious desk.
The touchpad which is multi-touch-compatible is in an upright position on the right side of the keyboard with a size of 2.28 x 2.99 inch. The space is sufficient for gesture controls and feels natural, just like with a regular computer mouse. The surface is smooth, makes the fingers glide effortlessly. Below it, there are two dedicated mouse buttons. ASUS integrates the numeric-pad into this touchpad.
As a gaming laptop, ROG Zephyrus GX550LXS-XS99 is a nice one to carry around. With a dimension of 14.2 x 10.6 x 0.8 inches, it won't need much space in your backpack. However, I think it is a bit heavy with a weight of 5.51 lbs. Even so, this powerful device is still comfortable to bring everywhere for gaming or working.
There is a 4-cell 90Wh Lithium-ion battery inside this ROG Zephyrus Duo 15. The 4K panel and especially the secondary ScreenPad much affect the battery life, so it is recommended to deactivate the ScreenPad for maximizing runtimes. Some tests show that it can last up to 5-6 hours for playing 1080p fullscreen video. Of course, the result will be different depending on the condition and usage of the laptop.
