Acer Aspire 5 A515-54G-73WC is an everyday laptop. It is almost similar to the Acer Aspire 5 A515-54-51DJ that we have reviewed before with a few advantages, such as the use of Intel Core i7 and NVIDIA graphics card.
Different from Acer Aspire 5 A515-54-51DJ which uses Intel Core i5 as the core processor, Acer Aspire 5 A515-54G-73WC uses the 8th Generation Intel Core i7-8565U. This processor has four cores and eight threads. The frequency starts from 1.80 GHz and when in turbo mode will boost up to 4.60 GHz with support from Intel Turbo Boost Technology. It features 8 MB SmartCache, 15 Watt TDP, and integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620.
Acer also adds a discrete graphics card into this Aspire 5, the NVIDIA GeForce MX250 with 2 GB of dedicated GDDR5 VRAM.
To keep the performance, the system memory on this laptop is rated at 12 GB (8GB and 4GB soldered) of DDR4 SDRAM, meanwhile, to store data and media files, this laptop has 512 GB PCIe NVMe SSD.
Basically, this is a powerful laptop that is ready for work. It can easily handle every task, such as photo or video editing, running scripts, compiling code, designing, streaming 4K content, and else.
Since the graphics card installed is an entry-level one, so this laptop is better for playing not demanding games. Some say that modern games still should only run well in low settings, but it's actually not a good option since the capacity of VRAM is rather limited.

Acer Aspire 5 A515-54G-73WC has decent display quality, just like most of today's laptops. Thanks to the narrow bezel on both sides, the screen seemed wide. The screen itself is a Full HD (1920 x 1080) display with LED-Backlit. This anti-glare screen has a diagonal wide of 15.6 inches and capable to improve viewing angles and increased color contrast since it is equipped with IPS tech.
The interface options on both sides are complete enough. The available are :

1 x USB 2.0 Type-A port
1 x HDMI port
1 x RJ-45 LAN port

There is no card reader slot on this notebook.

The keyboard comes with backlight which will assist users to type in a dim environment. The key feels crisp and quiet when typed, with decent travel and soft feedback. The touchpad is wide enough and gives good responses to motions, gestures, and taps.

This everyday use laptop has a 4-cell 3220 mAh Lithium-Ion battery pack as the power source. The manufacturer claims that a fully charged battery can last up to 9.50 hours, enough for a day of work. Of course, it depends on the laptop usage and battery condition.
The dimensions of this laptop are 14.3 x 9.9 x 0.7 inch while the weight is 4.19 lbs. Slim and light category, nice to carry everywhere.
Long battery life, good portability, this is a good companion for work both indoor or outdoor.
