As a mid-size laptop, ASUS TUF Gaming comes with a 15.6-inch Full HD display. The resolution is 1920 x 1080 pixels while the aspect ratio is 16:9. This wide-screen display is an anti-glare one which comes with LED backlight. It also features IPS technology and a 120Hz refresh rate. This high refresh rate will allow gaming smoothly without any stutter while the IPS tech will provide a crisp image and contrast color even when viewed from extreme angles.
Inside, the ASUS TUF Gaming has the AMD Ryzen 7 R7-3750H. This is a mobile SoC with 4 cores and 6MB cache memory. It is clocked at 2.3GHz and can boost up to 4.0Ghz when in turbo mode. With the 35 Watt TDP, the 3750H should be a capable upper mid-range processor for laptops, including gaming laptops.

As for the power source, this computer has a 3-cell 48Whrs Lithium-Ion battery inside. There is no explanation about the battery life. But some say that it can last about 3 to 4 hours for light usage and about 1.5 to 2 hours for gaming. Well, it isn't enough battery for a gaming laptop and we cannot expect much to the battery life.
The dimension of the device is 14.2 x 10.3 x 1.0 inch with a weight of 4.9 lbs. Though it is rather big and quite heavy, it is still comfortable enough to carry everywhere.
Conclusion, ASUS TUF Gaming TUF505DU-EB74 is an affordable gaming laptop. It is quite portable and nice to take everywhere. But unfortunately, the battery life is not enough for a day of work. The engine specs are quite well for both working and games with low or medium graphical settings, not for high graphical setting games.
For that, you need to consider other laptops as an option, such as ASUS ROG Strix Scar II GL504GW-DS74 or Razer Blade 15 or Acer Predator Helios 300 PH315-52-78VL.
