The keyboard offers a 1.4mm key travel distance. It has ASUS Aura Sync RGB LED backlight which you can customize the backlight as you wish. The numeric-pad is integrated with the touchpad and sits on the right where it's usually placed. You can switch between both functions by pushing a button. However, for us, the touchpad is a bit narrow.

The device has dual 2.5W speakers with good quality of sound. It has a dedicated volume wheel above the left-hand side of the keyboard so it would be easy to adjust the volume. However, this laptop doesn't have a built-in webcam. The manufacturer has opted to include a detachable ROG GC21 external webcam that can deliver a 1080p video at 60fps.
Having a 17-inch screen does make ROG Zephyrus S a bit larger but doesn't make it much thicker. This laptop measures 15.7 x 10.71 x 0.74 inches. The weight is 5.73 lbs. It is slim but a bit larger and heavy enough. Even though it can still be carried everywhere, but this is quite troublesome. You can carry it once in a while but it's best to become a workstation.
The GX701GW features a 4-cell 76-Wh Lithium-ion battery. No further information about the battery life. But some say that the battery runtime can achieve up to 4-5 hours for normal use, not a long-life one but still not that bad for a high-end notebook.
